Eli Rauluni, a 14-year-old rugby player, is poised to represent Queensland in the Under 15s training squad, marking the third generation of his family to achieve this honor. Eli is the son of Jacob Rauluni, a former halfback and captain for the Flying Fijians, and has shown remarkable talent as a fast and agile center while playing at Nudgee College.

Jacob Rauluni began his professional career with the Reds in 1996 and enjoyed a successful international career with the Fijian national team. Eli’s heritage plays an important role in his journey; his late grandfather, Taito, moved from Fiji in the mid-1970s to compete for Queensland and later made his home in Brisbane.

The Under 15s squad, which consists of 35 players, has been assembled to prepare for two matches against New South Wales, scheduled for October 6 at Ballymore and October 12 in Sydney. The team will be coached by Sean Graham and Jack Hawksley. Among the selected players is Chilli Tonelli-Smith, a flyhalf-fullback from Nudgee College and son of former Wallaby Brian Smith.
