A new champion of the Vodafone Cup will be determined this year, following the elimination of last year’s titleholder, Saru Dragons, in the semi-finals. In a surprising turn of events, Navy Albatross defeated Saru Dragons 27-18 in the final quarter-final match held at Lawaqa Park over the weekend.

In other quarter-final results, Vusu Raiders overcame Topline Warriors with a score of 30-20, Waitaci Titans narrowly edged past Nadera Panthers 32-28, and Ravoravo Rabbitohs secured a victory over Laselase Cowboys, winning 24-18.

Vusu Raiders team manager Solomoni Tuqiri acknowledged the challenges ahead, stating, “The semi-final stage is different, and we will go back and regroup to come back stronger in the semi-final against Ravoravo Rabbitohs.”

This week’s semi-final matchups feature Vusu Raiders facing off against Ravoravo Rabbitohs, while Navy Albatross will compete against Waitaci Titans.
