The upcoming 3rd Taras Supermarket Nausori Rugby 10s tournament promises an electrifying weekend of rugby action as 32 teams prepare to compete for a cash prize of $5,000 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The tournament kicks off today and will continue through tomorrow, featuring pool matches and culminating in elimination rounds and finals.
This two-day event presents a valuable platform for local rugby talent in Nausori to demonstrate their skills, with many aspiring players hoping to secure international opportunities. Major sponsors of the event include Vodafone and BSP, along with various local businesses such as Pak N Save Supermarket, Coca-Cola, and Pacific Energy, emphasizing a strong community backing for this sporting occasion.
Anish Patel, the director of Taras Supermarket, expressed the company’s commitment to the Nausori community, reflecting on their long-standing support over more than 40 years.
