The Vodafone Cup national semifinals are set to take place this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The matchups follow last weekend’s quarterfinals, where notable teams like the Dee Cees Nadera Panthers and the Saru Dragons were eliminated from the tournament.
In one semifinal, the Waitaci Titans will compete against the Navy Albatross, who secured a place in the semifinals by defeating the defending champions, Saru Dragons, with a score of 27-18. Additionally, the Ravoravo Rabbitohs will face off against the Vusu Raiders, both teams striving to clinch a spot in the finals.
FNRL Executive Chairman Akuila Masi expressed excitement for the upcoming matches, stating, “Last weekend showcased exceptional rugby league talent, and we anticipate the semifinals will elevate the competition even further. We encourage everyone to come and enjoy the excitement while supporting their favorite teams.”
Simultaneously, the FNRL Women’s Premiership semifinals will also be held, featuring the Lami Steelers versus the Yasawa Saints, and the Namoli West Tigers against the Police Sharks. This double-header promises a full day of thrilling rugby league action for fans in Nausori.
