Rugby Dreams Uncovered: The Fijian Drua’s Inspiring Journey

The Fijian Drua has unveiled a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” written by well-known rugby commentator Greg Clark and experienced sports journalist Norman Tasker.

This book chronicles the history and growth of the club over the past 25 years, focusing on its establishment during the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent rise in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

The story highlights the significant challenges faced by the Drua, including the team’s relocation efforts and the eventual return to Fiji for players and staff. It pays tribute to the resilience and commitment of everyone associated with the team, including players, coaches, sponsors, and fans, who are celebrated as some of the best in the world.

In addition to detailing the on-field successes of the Drua, the book captures the passion and spirit that have been crucial to their achievements. It includes exclusive interviews, insights, and behind-the-scenes stories, along with unique photographs that have never been seen before.

The book is set to be released on October 11th and will be available at various retail locations, priced at FJ$35 for the paperback edition and FJ$50 for the hardback version.
