The Serevi Academy of Rugby is thrilled to announce its inaugural rugby camp in Fiji for 2025, taking place at Lawaqa Park. This event represents a significant step forward in the academy’s mission to empower young individuals through the sport of rugby.

Waisale Serevi, a celebrated figure in the 7s rugby community, shared the details of the camp on his Facebook page. The program features two key sessions aimed at enhancing rugby skills, discipline, and teamwork among the youth of Fiji. The morning session from 9 AM to 11 AM will cater to girls aged U16 to U18, while the afternoon session from 1 PM to 4 PM will focus on boys within the same age group.

This camp presents a remarkable opportunity for local youth to learn from experienced coaches at no cost, fostering their athletic abilities. Serevi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the chance to run his first academy camp in his homeland, stating, “I’m so grateful to God for the chance to run my first-ever Serevi Academy of Rugby camp in Fiji. It’s a true honor to give back to the youth here and to help them grow both as athletes and individuals.”

In addition to skills development, the camp emphasizes the critical message of resilience and drug prevention, encapsulated in the theme “Phil4:13 STAY STRONG – SAY NO TO DRUGS.” The aim is not only to cultivate rugby talents but also to impart essential life lessons that motivate participants to chase their dreams with perseverance and strength.

Special acknowledgment was given to the Fiji Sports Council for providing the venue and supporting the initiative, along with partner Aqua Pacific. Parents and guardians wishing to enroll their children in the camp can reach out to Aseri Tuitubou at 9034496 or Jo Rokomarawa at 9418391 for more information.

This initiative not only nurtures sportsmanship but also builds a brighter future for the youth in Fiji, positioning them for success both on and off the field.
