Police Blue, Army Green, and BLK Lavidi Brothers showcased their dominance in the men’s division by finishing Day One of the competition unbeaten. BLK Lavidi Brothers started strong in Pool A with a hard-fought 12–5 victory against Valeni Brothers, followed by a win by default over Marist Rugby in their second match.

Army Green also displayed an impressive performance, defeating Roots Exile 12–0 in their opening game and securing a win by default over Clickex Veilomani to remain flawless in their group. Police Blue continued their strong form, first beating Lavena Reds 12–0 and later overcoming Naulama Rugby with a score of 19–7, keeping their elimination hopes intact.

Tournament organizer Vika Vataniyaragi expressed optimism about the inaugural day, stating, “It was a good day and we are now encouraging fans to come out in numbers this weekend to support the teams.” The standout performance of the day came from Loloma Heights, who achieved the largest margin with a commanding 47–0 victory against Cirikalia Rugby.

The competition featured several thrilling matches, including Service Rugby’s first-round win over Marist Rugby, and in the second round, Police Blue’s important win against Naulama Rugby further highlighted the intense rivalry and competitive spirit of the tournament.
