Jerry Tuwai, a two-time Olympian and former Fiji 7s player, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to his former teammate Osea Kolinisau following the death of Osea’s father, Reverend Tuikoro Kolinisau, on February 14. A funeral service was held in honor of Reverend Kolinisau on February 27 at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, attended by family, friends, and members of the rugby community, all coming together to pay tribute to a remarkable individual.
Reverend Kolinisau, recognized for founding the Kingdom Ambassador International Fellowship, made a significant impact on the Fijian rugby scene. Tuwai shared with The Fiji Times his appreciation for the guidance he received from Osea during his early days on the national 7s team, particularly recalling the encouragement Osea provided during Tuwai’s debut in 2014.

My condolences to him and his family. We all respect and love him, and we pray for strength during this difficult time,” Tuwai stated, emphasizing the support that the rugby community provides to one another in times of grief.
This collective sentiment of mourning reflects the deep bonds within the rugby community and serves as a reminder of the values of unity and support. The lasting legacy of Reverend Kolinisau, through his exemplary work and the principles he instilled in those around him, will continue to inspire many.
