Over six thrilling days, more than 530,000 enthusiastic fans flocked to Stade de France, making the event a resounding success. The Paris 2024 event not only thrilled live spectators but also attracted tens of millions of viewers worldwide through digital and broadcast channels, including an impressive 11.6 million viewers in France during the men’s final. Osea Kolinisau will continue to lead as the Head Coach of the Men’s Sevens Team for the next four years. After extensive discussions with Coaches, Team Managers, Captains, and an independent review team, his excellent results over the past months have affirmed his capability and vision for the future. Osea has outlined ambitious plans ahead, which he will disclose in due time. There is great anticipation for the Men’s Sevens Team under his guidance as they aim for gold at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Regarding the Women’s Sevens Team, Saiasi Fuli’s contract as Head Coach will conclude in December 2024. After conversations with Fuli, the decision has been made to open the position for new candidates to lead the women’s team into its next stage. The new coach will be entrusted with the development and implementation of a High Performance Strategy moving forward, as well as overseeing the selection for the upcoming HSBC 7s series program.
