Weather Update – February 3, 2026

Well, it looks like our beloved Fiji is getting a bit moody as a sluggish trough of low pressure hovers over the eastern parts. Think of it as Mother Nature taking a long coffee break—clouds are rolling in, and showers are on the job!

Right now, a northwest to southwest wind flow is strutting its stuff across the group, while another eager trough is gearing up to join the party from the north. Expect a few clouds and showers to crash the northern parts of Fiji starting Wednesday. It seems some invited rain clouds just can’t resist throwing their own social events!

Here’s what to expect until midnight tomorrow:

– **Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti, Lau group, and Cikobia:** Occasional showers and a chance of an isolated thunderstorm to keep things lively.
– **Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Ra-Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and southern Bua:** You’ll be treated to some cloudy periods interspersed with showers.
– **Meanwhile, for the rest of you dreamers:** Mainly fine conditions prevail (just a sprinkling of afternoon or evening showers and potential thunderstorms for dramatic flair). However, beware! Those afternoon or evening heavy bursts could turn into flash floods in low-lying spots—cue dramatic music!

So, we’re coping with moderate northwest to southwest winds and seas that are keeping things moderate as well. Who said seas can’t be kept at a chill level?

### Looking Ahead to Thursday:
Expect more of the same with a few clouds and brief showers over the usual suspects: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Ra-Rakiraki, Cakaudrove and the islands nearby. Elsewhere will be pretty spiffy, but watch out for those potential evening thrillers—you guessed it, more showers and thunderstorms.
