Rob Rush, the second son of famous New Zealand rugby sevens player Eric Rush, has joined the All Blacks Sevens team in Cape Town. This addition comes after the team faced a setback with the loss of two senior players, Joe Webber and Andrew Knewstubb, during their recent 14-0 defeat against Argentina in the bronze medal playoff at the Dubai Sevens.

Rob Rush steps in to replace Webber, while Fletcher Carpenter takes Knewstubb’s place. There is great anticipation among New Zealand fans, who look forward to the possibility of seeing Rob play alongside his brother, Brady, during the tournament.

The All Blacks Sevens will kick off their campaign against the USA Sevens tomorrow night at 11:54 PM, followed by a match against France Sevens at 3:35 AM on Sunday.

This new chapter for Rob Rush not only highlights his personal achievement but also continues the legacy of the Rush family in rugby sevens, promising an exciting spectacle for fans of the sport. With fresh talent joining the team, there is hope that the All Blacks Sevens will rebound from their recent challenges and perform strongly in the upcoming matches.
