Ratu Kadavulevu School Old Boys triumphed with a thrilling 40-36 victory over Queen Victoria School Old Boys to secure the Sovanivalu Shield yesterday at Albert Park in Suva.
The matchup showcased a fierce battle between two of Fiji’s prestigious rugby institutions. RKSOB took an early lead, finishing the first half at 25-15. However, QVSOB mounted a strong comeback in the second half, turning the match into a nail-biting contest.
The game featured several standout players, including QVSOB’s Fijian Drua halfback Simione Kuruvoli and former Flying Fijians fullback Kini Murimurivalu. On the other side, RKSOB showcased their strength with Fiji 7s stars Terio Tamani, Josese Batirerega, Filipo Bukayaro, and Sakiusa Siqila in their lineup.
