Ratu Kadavulevu School Old Boys claimed a dramatic 40-36 win against Queen Victoria School Old Boys to secure the Sovanivalu Shield yesterday at Albert Park in Suva.

The match showcased the intense rivalry between two of Fiji’s prominent rugby schools. RKSOB established an early advantage, leading 25-15 at the halftime break. However, QVSOB fought back valiantly in the second half, resulting in a nail-biting finish.

Highlighting the encounter were standout players, including Fijian Drua halfback Simione Kuruvoli and former Flying Fijians fullback Kini Murimurivalu for QVSOB. RKSOB responded with their own lineup of stars, featuring Fiji 7s players Terio Tamani, Josese Batirerega, Filipo Bukayaro, and Sakiusa Siqila.
