Ratu Kadavulevu School will be extending a traditional apology, known as a matanigasau, to Lelean Memorial School today. This action comes after an incident last Friday following the Eastern Zone semifinals in Dawasamu, where a bus carrying LMS players was stoned by RKS students.
A video of the event has since gone viral on social media. A student was injured during the incident and has received the necessary medical treatment. The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, met with Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union President Jone Kanalagi, as well as the respective zone presidents and the principals of LMS and RKS.
Reliable sources have confirmed that no school or student will be withdrawn from the competition.
