Day one of the Tailevu Zone Athletics competition wrapped up this afternoon with Ratu Kadavulevu School taking the lead in the boys’ division and Tailevu North College leading the girls’ division.

In the boys’ category, Ratu Kadavulevu School, the defending champions, currently sits in first place with an impressive tally of nine gold, six silver, and six bronze medals. Queen Victoria School follows closely behind in second place, securing eight gold, ten silver, and nine bronze medals. Tailevu North College holds third place with a total of two gold and one silver medal.

For the girls’ division, Tailevu North College is leading the way, amassing nine gold, six silver, and four bronze medals. Dawasamu Secondary School is in second position, having earned four gold, five silver, and four bronze medals, while Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with two gold, one silver, and five bronze medals.

The competition fosters a spirit of camaraderie and showcases the talent of young athletes across participating schools. The event is set to continue tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, and fans can catch all the action live on FBC Sports.
