This year’s inter-district championship for primary schools has showcased impressive talent and skill, according to Dinamani Mudaliar, president of the Fiji Primary School Football Association. Mudaliar noted that the quality of play has greatly improved, resulting in thrilling finishes and tightly contested matches.
He emphasized that the scorelines reflect the competitive nature of the games, with many matches ending with narrow margins such as 2-1 or even resulting in draws. This trend indicates a tougher competition compared to previous years.
Mudaliar mentioned that historically, bigger teams often held the advantage, but this season has seen surprising draws and slim victories, suggesting that the gap between the top teams and their challengers is closing. He urged fans and supporters to come out in large numbers to show their support for the teams.
