Rising Stars: U20 Players Join Fijian Drua for 2025 Season

Two exceptional under-20 rugby players, Breyton Legge and John Muller, received thrilling news as they have been signed to the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua development program for the 2025 season.

Legge, a talented loosehead prop, shared his excitement about the opportunity to represent his country and compete in Super Rugby, realizing a lifelong ambition. “It feels great. I’ve always dreamed of playing for my country and in the Super Rugby competition,” he stated. With nine appearances for the Fiji Under-20 team and a recent participation in the U20 World Rugby Championship, Legge has showcased his skill and dedication to the sport.

Muller, another rising star, has already gained substantial experience by representing Fiji in the U20 World Cup and contributing to the Fiji Warriors’ triumph in the Pacific Rugby Cup in 2023. “It is a dream come true, and I am very grateful for the chance to join the Fijian Drua. I can’t wait to start training with the team,” Muller expressed.

Fijian Drua Development and Skills Coach Ifereimi Rawaqa commended their journey from the Fiji Rugby High-Performance Unit program to the Drua Development team. Rawaqa highlighted Legge’s rapid adaptability and skill set, as well as Muller’s work ethic and aggressive playing style, emphasizing their potential for further growth and achievement within the professional realm of the Drua program.

In recent years, development players like Livai Natave, Philip Baselala, Taniela Rakuro, Motikiai Murray, Mesake Vocevoce, and Sikeli Rabitu have been afforded the chance to earn contracts in the highly regarded Super Rugby Pacific competition.
