Solomoni Mudu, a Year 10 student from Saraswati College, has secured his second gold medal at the ongoing Triple N Zone Athletics competition, held at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. He impressed spectators with a remarkable performance in the junior boys’ 200-meter final, clocking a time of 24.45 seconds. This win adds to his first-place finish in the junior boys’ 100-meter finals, achieved just a day prior.
Mudu’s family background also plays a part in his athletic journey as he is the son of former Ratu Kadavulevu School sprinter Jone Mudu. His performances have been pivotal in boosting Saraswati College’s standing, placing the school fourth in the boys’ division with a total of two gold medals, two silver, and three bronze.
