17-year-old Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys attacker Ibraheem Afazal was named Player of the Match following his outstanding performance against Vanuatu at the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa.
Afazal, who plays for APIA Leichhardt club in Sydney, Australia, scored two goals and assisted Fiji’s other goals, leading to a decisive 6-1 victory over Vanuatu and securing a place in the semifinals for Fiji.
As a consistent performer for the team coached by Marika Rodu, Afazal’s partnership with Captain Penisoni Tirau in the attack has significantly boosted Fiji’s scoring ability in the competition.
