17-year-old Digicel Fiji Junior Bula Boys attacker Ibraheem Afazal was named Player of the Match after delivering an outstanding performance against Vanuatu at the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship in Samoa.
Afazal, who plays for APIA Leichhardt club in Sydney, Australia, scored two goals and assisted in Fiji’s other goals, leading to a 6-1 victory over Vanuatu and securing their spot in the semifinals.
The young player has been a consistent performer for the Marika Rodu-coached team, and his partnership with Captain Penisoni Tirau in the attack strengthens Fiji’s scoring capabilities in the competition.
