Setareki Turagacoke, an 18-year-old rugby talent, made a remarkable debut for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians against Spain, contributing to their 33-19 win during their European Tour. Hailing from Dakuinuku in Sawakasa, Tailevu, Turagacoke not only played a pivotal role in the victory but also scored a try, making his debut even more unforgettable.

Turagacoke was brought into the Flying Fijians squad late last week, stepping in to replace the injured Temo Mayanavanua. Initially listed among the reserves, he quickly showcased his skills upon entering the match in the second half.

Currently, Turagacoke plays for Stade Français in France, a club he joined after completing his Year 12 studies at Lelean Memorial School in Nausori. He has developed his skills at the Eastern Saints Rugby Academy since the age of 14 and was also part of the FRU HPU Pathway program, highlighting his dedication and potential in the sport.

Given his impressive performance, Turagacoke is expected to receive additional playing time when the Flying Fijians face Ireland in their final match of the European tour this weekend.

This is a significant step forward for Turagacoke and showcases the promising future of Fijian rugby talent on international stages. His journey from local academies to the global arena serves as an inspiration for young athletes.
