Fifteen-year-old Nehemiah Elder is gearing up for the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship, set to take place in Fiji from September 17 to 21, just three weeks away. With the competition approaching, Nehemiah is intensifying his training and feels confident as he enters the 89kg category to represent Fiji on an international platform.
Nehemiah hails from a lineage of weightlifting champions, inspired by his father and head coach, Henry Elder, along with his older brothers. Despite his youth, he has already established a reputation by breaking three Oceania records in the 73kg division. As he transitions to a heavier weight class, Nehemiah is more determined than ever to showcase his talent and honor Fiji.
