Discipline and passion have driven Muizz Mujib Buksh to achieve remarkable success, which was celebrated during the recent prizegiving ceremony at Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) in Labasa. As the head boy of the college, Muizz received numerous honors, including the prestigious Leadership Award, recognition for achieving the highest marks in Agricultural Science, an athletics award, and a special commendation for his contributions to the school’s football team.
A Year 13 student, Muizz has an impressive athletic track record, highlighted by his gold medal win in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition, as well as his participation in the 3000-meter final at the acclaimed Coca-Cola Games.
In discussing his ability to balance academics with athletics, Muizz credited the unwavering support and guidance from his parents. His belief that “nothing is impossible” fuels his ambition, and he aims to inspire his peers to pursue their dreams and uplift their school community, much like he has done through his leadership and sports excellence.
Expressing gratitude for the encouragement he receives from teachers, parents, and classmates, Muizz also shared his aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. He has applied for enrollment at Massey University in New Zealand to advance his education next year.
