Discipline and passion have driven Muizz Mujib Buksh to achieve remarkable success at the recent prizegiving ceremony at Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) in Labasa. As the head boy, Muizz received several prestigious accolades, including the Leadership Award, recognition for obtaining the highest marks in Agricultural Science, an athletics award, and a special commendation for his contributions to the school’s football team.

Currently a Year 13 student, Muizz has made significant strides in athletics, clinching a gold medal in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and competing in the 3000-meter final at the Coca-Cola Games.

Speaking about the challenge of balancing academics with sports, Muizz acknowledged the invaluable support from his parents. He operates under the inspiring belief that “nothing is impossible,” motivating him to encourage his peers to pursue their ambitions and contribute positively to their school community.

Grateful for the assistance he has received from teachers, parents, and classmates, Muizz shared his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He has applied to join Massey University in New Zealand to further his education next year.
