Discipline and dedication have enabled Muizz Mujib Buksh to achieve remarkable success, culminating in multiple awards at the Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) prizegiving ceremony held on Wednesday. As the head boy of VIC in Labasa, Muizz received the prestigious Leadership Award, distinctions for attaining the highest marks in Agricultural Science, an athletics accolade, and a special commendation for his contributions to the school’s football team.

In his role as a Year 13 student, Muizz boasts an impressive athletic track record, highlighted by winning gold in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and competing in the 3000m final at the Coca-Cola Games.

When reflecting on how he manages to balance his academic responsibilities with his sports commitments, Muizz credited the invaluable guidance of his parents. He firmly believes that “nothing is impossible,” a philosophy he embodies as he aims to motivate his peers to pursue their dreams and contribute to the pride of their school through leadership and sports.

Expressing his gratitude towards his teachers, parents, and classmates, Muizz shared his ambition of becoming a veterinarian. He announced that he has applied to enroll at Massey University in New Zealand to advance his education next year.
