Discipline and dedication have driven Muizz Mujib Buksh to achieve impressive milestones, as demonstrated by his multiple honors received at the Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) prizegiving ceremony held on Wednesday. As the head boy of VIC in Labasa, Muizz was honored with the prestigious Leadership Award, recognized for obtaining the highest mark in Agricultural Science, along with an athletics award and a special commendation for his role in the school’s football team.
Currently in Year 13, Muizz boasts an outstanding athletic record, highlighted by his victory in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and his participation in the 3000m final at the Coca-Cola Games. Reflecting on his ability to manage both academics and athletics, he attributed much of his success to the unwavering support and guidance from his parents.
With the motto that “nothing is impossible,” Muizz aims to inspire his classmates to pursue their ambitions and bring pride to their school, much like he has through his leadership and athletic endeavors. Expressing gratitude for the support from his teachers, parents, and peers, he also shared his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He has applied to enroll at Massey University in New Zealand for further studies next year.
