Last month, authorities documented a total of 118 instances of sexual offenses, with rape being the most frequently reported crime, followed by indecent assault. Additional offenses included inappropriate behavior towards individuals, sexual assaults, kidnapping of individuals under 18 years old, attempts to commit rape, defilement, and assault with the intent to commit rape. Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci has called on communities to collaborate with the Fiji Police Force to combat crime effectively.
