The prices of kerosene and diesel are set to increase starting today.

In a statement last night, the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) announced the new approved fuel and LPG prices effective from August 1.

The FCCC stated that fuel prices in Fiji are influenced by changes in the Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) international freight rates and foreign exchange rates.

Here are some of the new prices effective from today:
– Motor Spirit: $2.87 from $2.91
– Premix: $2.71 from $2.74
– Kerosene: $1.95 from $1.91 (VAT exempt)
– Diesel: $2.52 from $2.50
– 12kg cylinder: $39.28 from $40.12 (VAT exempt)
– Autogas: $2.12 from $2.17
