Christopher Wasasala expressed his disappointment after the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) team suffered a significant defeat, losing 6-1 to the Police in Suva yesterday. “I apologize to our supporters for the loss,” he told SUNsports, emphasizing the need for more backing for the RFMF football side ahead of next year’s competition.

Despite the setback, Wasasala remains hopeful and sees the loss as an opportunity for growth. He acknowledged that the team lacked experience and stated their intent to recruit more seasoned players for the future. “Our communication was poor on the field, and it simply wasn’t our day,” he reflected. He also took the time to thank his players for their effort and extended congratulations to the Police team for their victory.

Having spent three weeks in intensive training for the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl football competition, Wasasala is committed to moving past this defeat: “The loss is behind us now, but we will work hard for next year and return stronger.”

The RFMF team’s resolve to improve and their focus on bringing in new talent is a positive takeaway from this experience, showcasing their commitment to growth and competitive spirit. With dedication and hard work, the team aims to bounce back better in the 2025 season.

This attitude not only reflects sportsmanship but also encourages supporters and fans to rally behind their team in the upcoming challenges.
