Rewa’s Star Striker Sets High Bar Ahead of Nadi Clash

The Extra Supermarket Rewa football team, coached by Rodeck Singh, aims to secure another victory against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match of the Super Premier division at Churchill Park, Lautoka, today. This follows their impressive 7-0 win over Nadroga in their opening match at the same venue yesterday.

John Orobulu delivered a standout performance, netting five goals in a remarkable display of skill that set a high bar for the tournament. His goals came at the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, and in injury time, while teammates Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou contributed one goal each in the 30th and 31st minutes, respectively.

Head coach Rodeck Singh praised the team’s strong start, emphasizing the significance of their performance in this major tournament. He expressed gratitude to the players for their efforts and highlighted the foundation they have laid for their campaign.

Looking ahead, Singh stated that the focus is now on defeating Nadi. “We take one game at a time; now we look at how we want to approach the match against Nadi, and securing those three points is crucial for us,” he said.

Rewa’s match against Nadi is scheduled for 6 PM today.
