Rewa Football Club, the recent champions of the league, is gearing up for the Flick Hygiene Pacific Cup by enhancing their squad with new talent. The Delta Tigers have signed Solomon Islanders William Komasi and Javin Alick as guest players, alongside New Zealand-based Sione Faapoi, Mohammed Ishtiaq, and Nasinu goalkeeper Emori Ragata.
Joining the team, Komasi and Alick will connect with their fellow countrymen, striker John Orobulu and defender Stanton Alick. In addition, a group of promising young players, including Neemish Prasad, Keni Cagi, Delon Shankar, Mervin Chand, and Asivorosi Rabo, have also been brought onto the squad. Seasoned team members such as Setareki Hughes, Tevita Waranaivalu, Ivan Kumar, Madhwan Goundar, Peniame Drova, Patrick Joseph, Iowane Matanisiga, and Epeli Valevou are expected to lead the team as they aim for continued success.
Rewa will kick off their campaign by facing the defending champions, the Auckland All Stars, in a highly anticipated match on Day 1 at 7:30 PM.
This strategic recruitment not only demonstrates Rewa’s ambition to retain their title but also highlights a commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering team unity. As they head into the tournament, fans are hopeful for a successful performance that can build on their previous achievements.
