The Extra Supermarket Rewa team, coached by Rodeck Singh, is poised for a strong showing against Mahijibhai Hardware/Calgary Nadi in their second pool match of the Super Premier division today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Rewa comes into this match with high momentum after their commanding 7-0 victory over Nadroga in their opening pool game at the same venue yesterday.

John Orobulu delivered an extraordinary performance, netting five goals to showcase his exceptional skills. The Solomon Islands international scored in the 21st, 25th, 62nd, 77th minutes, and during injury time. Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou also contributed to the scoreline with goals in the 30th and 31st minutes, respectively.

Rodeck Singh expressed his satisfaction with the team’s strong start, emphasizing the importance of a positive beginning in the tournament. “This is one of the starts we wanted. We knew IDC is one of the big tournaments, and it is essential for us to start well. I thank the boys for this start, and I believe we have set a platform for ourselves.”

Looking ahead, Singh noted that the focus is now on defeating Nadi. “We take one game at a time, and now we will determine how to tackle Nadi and secure those three points, which is crucial for us.”

Rewa’s match against Nadi is scheduled for 6 PM today.
