Rewa Sanatan showcased their dominance in the 63rd Sanatan Convention football tournament, successfully defending their title with a 2-0 victory over Cuvu Sanatan at Churchill Park, Lautoka on Monday. This victory marks Rewa’s third consecutive win in the tournament, solidifying their position as a formidable force in local football.
The match started with Rewa taking the lead just before halftime, courtesy of a goal from Ivan Kumar. The intensity picked up in the second half, culminating in Shivam Shandil adding another goal for Rewa, ensuring a comfortable win. Earlier in the tournament, Rewa displayed their strength by defeating Nakasi 5-1 in the semifinals, while Cuvu Sanatan secured their place in the final with a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Labasa Sanatan, winning 6-4.
