Rewa has further extended their lead in the Digicel Fiji Premier League after a tough 2-0 win against Lautoka in Round 16 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori. The match was intensely contested from the outset, with both teams demonstrating strong performances.

The turning point came when Lautoka’s Antonio Tuivuna received a red card just before halftime after a second yellow card, leaving his team with only ten players. Tevita Waranivalu took advantage of this situation, converting two penalties in the first half to secure a vital victory for Rewa.

With this win, Rewa now sits atop the league standings with 37 points. They are followed by Labasa in second place with 32 points and Lautoka in third with 28 points, as the season nears its conclusion with just two rounds remaining.
