Former Nasinu representative Nitan Kumar netted the only goal for Rewa Masters in their over 40s veterans final against Nadi Masters during the APCO Coatings/RC Manubhai tournament at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Kumar scored the crucial goal when the Nadi goalkeeper misjudged a catch. The match showcased opportunities for both sides, but it was Rewa who capitalized by scoring.
Rewa’s captain, Sudeshwar Ram, expressed gratitude to the players and their families after securing a second tournament victory in a row, having won the uprising tournament the previous month.
Kumar was awarded the Golden Boot for scoring four goals, while his teammate Tomasi Tuivuna received the Golden Glove. Peter Cecil was honored with the Golden Ball, and Rewa Masters earned the Fair Play award.
Rewa Masters received $3,000 for their win, while Nadi Masters took home $1,000 for reaching the final.
