Rewa football team is preparing to welcome defender Kavaia Rawaqa and midfielder Kishan Sami back into their squad during the mid-season transfer window. This information was confirmed by Rewa football’s president, Nazil Buksh, in an interview with FijiLive.
While Rawaqa has already been participating in team training, he may not see game time in the 11th round of the DFPL this Sunday, due to some remaining release formalities. His initial request for a transfer from Suva to Rewa in January was declined due to Fiji FA rules mandating a player to stay with their new team for at least a year, a period which Rawaqa hadn’t completed at the time.
For Kishan Sami’s transfer from Lautoka, Lautoka FA President, Shalendra Prasad, reported that an internal investigation is still underway before they can release the player.
Meanwhile, the Delta Tigers are set to host Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, with kickoff at 3 pm.
