Rewa Football Team Clinches Premier League Glory!

The Extra Supermarket Rewa football team has claimed the title of the Digicel Fiji Premier League. This achievement follows a decisive 4-1 victory over Nadi at Prince Charles Park yesterday.

Rewa faced their primary competition for the league title from Labasa, who experienced a setback with a 2-1 defeat to Ba.

Head coach Roderick Singh expressed pride in his team’s accomplishments, stating that their efforts were well-deserved.

“First and foremost, we give thanks to God Almighty for giving us the strength to achieve this,” said Singh. “Last year it was Lautoka who took the title, but now we are the new champions. The boys fought hard for this win.”

Singh highlighted the determination required from the start of the season to secure the league title and commended his players for their fighting spirit throughout.

“There were challenges along the way, but consistency was key to our success,” he noted. “We knew this match was critical in determining the title, and we have emerged victorious. The league title returns to Rewa.”

The match results from the day included Ba defeating Labasa 2-1, Lautoka losing 0-1 to Suva, Nadroga beating Tailevu/Naitasiri 4-1, Navua winning 1-0 against Nasinu, and Nadi falling 1-4 to Rewa.
