Rewa football players have been urged to reflect on their performance and do some soul-searching before the 2024 Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants.
Following their 1-0 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri in round 12 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League on Sunday, the team’s coach and management spent over 30 minutes discussing performance-related issues with the players.
Head coach Rodeck Singh expressed that the team’s performance did not meet the set expectations.
“Firstly, it was about finishing, and then it came down to individual performance. Some player tasks that can be easily performed are not being done by those who are expected to do a lot,” Singh said.
The players were also reminded of the goals they have set beyond local tournaments and the national league.
In 2023, Rewa failed to reach the semi-final stages of the BOG tournament.
