Rewa FC concluded their campaign in the Digicel Fiji Premier League on a high note, securing a 3-1 victory over Ba at Govind Park in Ba yesterday.

The Delta Tigers were quick to assert their dominance, scoring the opening goal in the 22nd minute with a precise shot from Asivorosi Rabo. However, Ba responded before halftime, equalizing in the 42nd minute when Penaia Nagatalevu headed in a cross from Penisoni Tirau, leaving the score at 1-1.

Rewa reclaimed the lead just two minutes into the second half with another goal from Rabo in the 47th minute, taking advantage of a defensive error from Ba to make it 2-1. Continuing their strong defensive play, Rewa increased their lead further as Tevita Waranivalu converted a penalty, finalizing the score at 3-1.

Rewa coach Rodeck Singh expressed gratitude for his team’s effort, saying, “First we thank God Almighty for the win and our players for stepping in; we knew the match would be tough against Ba.”

On the other hand, Ba coach Timoci Seru acknowledged his team’s missed opportunities, stating, “We had a lot of opportunities but the boys missed it, and that is one area we will have to work on for the IDC.”
