Rewa FC Eyes Glory in Prestigious OFC Champions League Showdown!

Fiji’s Rewa FC departed today for the 2025 OFC Champions League, a prestigious regional tournament set to take place in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The Delta Tigers are part of a competitive Group A, featuring reigning champions Auckland City from New Zealand and AS Tiga Sport from New Caledonia, among others.

Guided by coach Roderick Singh, Rewa has faced some setbacks leading up to the tournament. Notably, they will miss young talent Asivorosi Rabo due to injury and have unresolved registration issues with goalkeeper James Do’oro, winger James Hoyt, and NZ-based Samuela Kautoga. Despite these challenges, the team is optimistic about their current roster, which includes experienced national representatives like Tevita Waranaivalu, Setareki Hughes, and veteran players such as Kavaia Rawaqa and Madhawan Goundar.

The Delta Tigers will kick off their campaign against AS Tiga Sport this Sunday at 1 PM, aiming to make a significant impact following their previous semifinal exit against AS Pirae, where they lost 4-2. This year’s matchup offers an excellent opportunity for Rewa FC to showcase their development and resilience, and the experience gained from last season will be crucial in pursuing a deeper run in the tournament.

Fans and supporters remain hopeful as Rewa FC prepares to tackle their tough group, with expectations for strong performances that could enable them to surprise their opponents and build on the momentum from prior competitions. The upcoming games not only represent a challenge but also a chance for the Delta Tigers to assert their presence on the international stage and inspire future generations of Fijian football.
