Rewa FC delivered a dominant performance in their opening match of the 2024 FMF IDC Super Premier Division, defeating Sigatoka Electric/Nadroga Auto Marine Upholstery Works Nadroga with a score of 7-0 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Coached by Roderick Singh, Rewa showcased impressive attacking football in the first half, netting four goals before the halftime whistle. John Orobulu scored twice, while Asivorosi Rabo and Epeli Valevou each contributed a goal, establishing a commanding 4-0 lead at the break.

The heavy rain during the match seemed to benefit Rewa, allowing them to play comfortably in the slippery conditions. In the second half, Rewa maintained their momentum, with Orobulu delivering a standout performance that included a hat trick, culminating in a comprehensive victory.

As the tournament progresses, the weather in Lautoka is anticipated to remain wet, adding an interesting dynamic to the 2024 FMF IDC.
