Rewa enhanced their lead in the Digicel Fiji Premier League with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Lautoka in Round 16 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

The match was physical from the outset, with both teams displaying strong performances on the field. However, Lautoka’s fortunes shifted when Antonio Tuivuna received a red card just before halftime after accumulating two yellow cards, leaving his team with 10 players.

Tevita Waranivalu seized the opportunity, netting both goals from the penalty spot in the first half, which secured a vital victory for Rewa.

This win solidifies Rewa’s top position in the league standings with 37 points, followed by Labasa in second place with 32 points, and Lautoka in third with 28 points, as only two rounds remain in the season.
