Rewa extended their lead in the Digicel Fiji Premier League with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Lautoka during Round 16 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

The match was intense from the beginning, with both teams displaying equal strength on the field. However, Lautoka’s situation worsened when Antonio Tuivuna received a red card just before halftime due to a second yellow, leaving his team with only 10 players.

Tevita Waranivalu took advantage of the circumstances, scoring both goals from the penalty spot in the first half, which secured a vital victory for Rewa.

This win reinforces Rewa’s top position in the league standings with 37 points, followed by Labasa in second place with 32 points and Lautoka in third with 28 points, as only two rounds remain in the season.
