Rewa extended their lead in the Digicel Fiji Premier League with a tough 2-0 win over Lautoka in Round 16 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
The match was intense from the outset, with both teams displaying equal strength on the field. The turning point came for Lautoka when Antonio Tuivuna received a second yellow card just before halftime, leaving his team with 10 players.
Tevita Waranivalu took advantage of the situation, scoring both goals from the penalty spot in the first half, which secured an important win for Rewa.
This victory reinforces Rewa’s top position in the league standings with 37 points, followed by Labasa with 32 points in second place and Lautoka in third with 28 points, with only two rounds left in the season.
