Rewa Clinches Victory in Dramatic Finale Against Ba

Champions Rewa concluded their Digicel Fiji Premier League season with a decisive 3-1 victory over Ba at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Namosau. After a first half that ended in a 1-1 draw, the Delta Tigers surged ahead in the second half. Epeli Valevou found the net for Rewa, while Penaia Nagatalevu scored for the home team.

Rewa took the lead shortly after halftime with a goal from Asivorosi Rabo. The match turned heated as three red cards were issued. Rewa’s captain Setareki Hughes, Ba goalkeeper Misiwani Nairube, and Mitieli Naivro were all sent off due to disciplinary issues.

Tevita Waranaivalu sealed Ba’s fate by scoring a penalty just before the match ended. In other matches held today, Nasinu triumphed over Nadroga with a score of 3-1, Lautoka claimed victory against Tailevu Naitasiri 2-1, and Nadi edged out Suva 2-1, while Navua defeated Labasa 1-0 in a match yesterday.
