Rewa Clinches Dominant Victory in Fiery Premier League Showdown

Rewa, the reigning champions, concluded their Digicel Fiji Premier League season with a decisive 3-1 victory over Ba at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Namosau. After a 1-1 stalemate at halftime, the Delta Tigers surged ahead in the second half.

Epeli Valevou opened the scoring for Rewa, while Penaia Nagatalevu found the net for Ba. Just after the halftime break, Asivorosi Rabo put Rewa ahead. The match became heated, leading to three red cards, with Rewa’s captain Setareki Hughes, along with Ba’s goalkeeper Misiwani Nairube and Mitieli Naivro, being sent off due to unsportsmanlike behavior.

Tevita Waranaivalu sealed Ba’s fate by converting a penalty just before the end of the match. In other matches that took place today, Nasinu triumphed over Nadroga 3-1, Lautoka beat Tailevu Naitasiri 2-1, and Nadi won against Suva 2-1, while Navua narrowly defeated Labasa 1-0 yesterday.
