Rewa, the reigning league champions, have bolstered their roster ahead of the Flick Hygiene Pacific Cup by signing several new players. The Delta Tigers have welcomed Solomon Islanders William Komasi and Javin Alick as guest players. They also added New Zealand-based Sione Faapoi, Mohammed Ishtiaq, and Nasinu goalkeeper Emori Ragata to their squad.
Both Komasi and Alick will reunite with compatriots striker John Orobulu and defender Stanton Alick, enhancing the team’s synergy. In addition to these new signings, young talents Neemish Prasad, Keni Cagi, Delon Shankar, Mervin Chand, and Asivorosi Rabo have been included in the lineup, indicating a commitment to nurturing upcoming talent. Experienced players such as Setareki Hughes, Tevita Waranaivalu, Ivan Kumar, Madhwan Goundar, Peniame Drova, Patrick Joseph, Iowane Matanisiga, and Epeli Valevou will lead the team as they look to maintain their winning momentum.
Rewa’s first challenge comes against the defending champions, the Auckland All Stars, in the highly anticipated opening match of the tournament at 7:30 PM.
With these strategic additions, Rewa is not just aiming to build a strong competitive team but is also showing its commitment to enhancing its performance in the league. The blend of seasoned players and fresh talent might just be the winning combination they need to secure success in the tournament.
