The Department of Immigration is set to launch its Online Permit Processing System on September 2nd. This new system aims to enhance the efficiency and convenience of processing work permits, investor permits, and appeals.
To facilitate the transition to the new system, the department will cease accepting applications for work permits, investor permits, and appeals starting this Friday. They assure that all paper applications currently being processed will be completed within the next month.
Additionally, the Immigration Department has stated that applicants whose current applications expire between August 23rd and September 2nd will not face penalties if they do not submit a renewal application during that period.
Officials believe that the new system will streamline the workflow and significantly reduce the time required for processing work permit applications, while also allowing applicants to monitor the status of their applications at each stage.
