Oceania Rugby has introduced its inaugural Match Official High-Performance Camp in Nadi, in partnership with World Rugby and supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade through the PacificAus Sports program. This innovative initiative aims to enhance officiating standards and improve skills throughout the Oceania region.
Richard Sapias, President of Oceania Rugby, highlighted that launching this camp in Fiji reflects their commitment to developing match officials and promoting excellence in the sport. The camp includes a variety of intensive training sessions, workshops, and discussions led by experienced referees and educators from World Rugby.
This program represents a valuable opportunity for match officials to refine their skills, stay updated on the latest practices in rugby officiating, and foster connections within the community.
