Revolutionizing Housing Management: Strategic Collaboration Unveiled

In an effort to transform housing management in Fiji, the Public Rental Board (PRB) has collaborated with Home in Place to focus on capacity building through knowledge sharing.

PRB General Manager Timoci Naleba stated that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) partnership with Home in Place, one of the largest non-government social or community housing providers in Australia, would collectively enhance the competencies in managing rental properties effectively.

“By leveraging IT systems and enhancing tenant relationships, this alliance aims to manage rental residential buildings more efficiently,” said Mr. Naleba.

“This collaboration focuses on the efficient operation of rental residential buildings by leveraging IT systems and improving tenant management.”

Mr. Naleba emphasized that the MoU showcased the power of knowledge sharing in building capacity and driving operational excellence in managing rental residential buildings.

“The collaboration facilitates the transfer of expertise, best practices, and innovative strategies, resulting in improved operational efficiency and service delivery in the housing sector.

“The implementation of advanced IT systems, driven by knowledge sharing, streamlines property management processes, automates administrative tasks, and improves data management.

“This technological integration enhances operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness for both organizations.”

Mr. Naleba noted that by adopting tenant-centric approaches, both organizations have experienced a reduction in disputes, improved communication channels, and aim to increase tenant retention rates.

He added that the partnership also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for both Fiji and Australia, promoting the Vuvale bilateral relationship.
